No School

Thursday, August 31 is an in-service day, and there is no school for students. Enjoy your day off!

Grade Level Learning To Set The Stage

Routines and procedures are the focus the first few weeks of school. Teachers want to make sure to get kids in the swing of things. Covering the how to’s is a big part of the first few weeks. Teachers are all sending home a “snapshot” of the month, so be sure and check that out for your student. MYD refreshers are in in full force, and our admin team is working with staff to ensure a strong start. This month we also begin with a few assessments so we can get a baseline of where we are at the start of the year!

Tech Tip

Internet use is doubling every two years, and today the average household has more than six devices connected to the internet. This includes tablets, smartphones, gaming systems, laptops, and desktop computers. If you are not aware that a device has internet access, you cannot restrict or monitor it. Take inventory of all the electronic devices in your home, then take charge of all the internet access points available to your children.

Raising A Reader Workshop

We invite all parents with children ages birth to five years told to join us for a special literacy program. Learn how to build early literacy skills in your child, and help them enter school ready to learn! This free, eight-week workshop begins on Tuesday, August 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and includes a book bag, books, and a certificate of completion. Please see our English literacy workshop flyer and our Español literacy workshop flyer for more information.

Drop-off and Dismissal Reminders

We have designated specific areas of our campus for drop-off and dismissal depending on your students' method of transportation. We appreciate your cooperation is using these specific areas.

  • We have west side of campus is student drop-off and pick-up area. To ensure traffic is flowing, please do not park in the loading zone. If you choose to park, use the designated spaces and use the crosswalk to access the school.
  • If students ride the bus, the bus drivers will drop them off and pick them up on the south side of the building.
  • Students who walk to school in the morning will enter through the south or west side. They will exit on the east or west side of campus at dismissal.
  • Students can secure their bicycles at the designated bike rack near the office.

School Bell Changes

To serve the efficient and safe transport needs of our bus riders better, the Littleton Governing Board made slight adjustments to the bell schedules. These changes will go into effect on Tuesday, September 27. Please take a few moments to read the informational letter outlining the changes.
